This was our third year in a row to go apple picking at Riley's farm in Oak Glen, CA. Wacky Zacky was an old pro and carried the apple bag with confidence. Despite being a busy apple picker, he somehow found the time to boss Zany Janie around when needed. She seemed oblivious to his ranting and happily tried to touch every apple on the ground in the orchard.
I must confess Wacky Zacky and I did butt heads over what constituted a good apple. Wacky Zacky seemed to think the rotten apples on the ground were better than the ones on the trees and continuously removed the apples from the bag that we had plucked from the trees to refill it with the rotten ones. Nevertheless we all had a great time!

Zany thought of the day: Anyone know where I can get one of these?
It looks like a handy device to have around for time-outs! :D

Hey, that would be a handy gadget to have around. Except...where's the muzzle? LOL
LOL - Can I have one of those for my husband?
I need a small-sized version for baby starting to walk! Cooking dinner requires four hands:)
Between you and Ms. Moo I can't stop laughing!!!
I would LOVE a yearly tradition of going to pick fresh apples. I have to move north!!!
BTW, is DH handy?
I agree with tnt2008 - I finally put my guy in the baby bjorn last night (even though he's getting heavy) so I could keep him in one place and cook dinner in (relative) peace.
Please visit my blog. We are playing an Autumn game and you have beentagged!

you're a wacky lady and I love reading your posts. I would have probably put Zack in that contraption when I first arrived at the apple farm! Guess I wouldn't be the greatest babysitter! Have fun baking - I always pick the apple flavor when I have a choice!
Hahahhaha! Great recap of your apple picking day. Tell him they need the rotten ones on the ground to make cider :)
OOOHHH...that last one...can I wist it ?:)?
I need one of those too... and Ms Moo... can you send me that muzzle? Oh but my weekends would be sure bliss! In fact I need two. That'll keep dear hubby out of my hair too!
