One question that ultimately gets asked when you are getting to know someone better is "What's your favorite color?" If you are anything like me you picked one when you were 3 or 4 years old and stuck with it. It may have been because it was the color of your favorite stuffed animal, it was the same color your best friend liked, or because it was the first color that came to mind when put on the spot by your teacher. In any case, when I am asked I always say my favorite color is red...But I'm not sure that's actually true.
I love all colors and I guess it just depends where the color is being used. For instance I love blue/green color for the walls, brown for accent colors, bright colors for baby toys, and aqua or lilac for Zany Janie's clothes. If it's food and it's green chances are I won't be overjoyed, but if it's red or pink and it's in a dessert I'll have on a happy face.
I have found that cool blue/green colors and bright colors really spark my creativity. One of my favorite creations is a star quilt made in blues and greens.

Both quilts were beautifully and professionally quilted by my sister through Wildflower Quilt Studio.
If you take a peek into my Etsy Shop you will find a plethora of bright and fun colors that are sure to put a little smile on your face.
Zany thought of the day: So when you are asked, "What's your favorite color?" Do you automatically say the same color you've been spouting since toddlerhood or have you really thought about it and state the color that you are passionate about?

Hi ZanyMomma!
Blues and Greens are very soothing colors, where as bright colors do bring a different reaction to me to.
Since being on etsy, and interviewed for features I have found that is always one of the questions that has had me questioning myself until I read anothers blog carnival this morning and it was put into the prospective that was a puzzle in my head. I am sure you will see it too and know which one I am talking about. Its several above you in the forums.

those are beautiful quilts! I think you use color to its advantage, and your description was very thoughtful. Thanks for writing.
Your post is very thought provoking and well written! It does make me realize that maybe picking just one favorite color is doing a disservice to all the other colors that bring joy to my life. Although I love a variety of colors, since childhood I've always gravitated towards purple so I suppose that truly is my "favorite" color.
What gorgeous quilts!
Actually, my favorite color has changed over the years - the younger version of me went nuts over purple, then I was obsessed with black and now I'm into blues and reds. Funny how our favorite colors can change.
Great blog! I've always been a purple person...since birth lol. So I guess the answer to your question is that purple was my fave then and is still my fave because it makes me happy :)
Great post! The quilts are beautiful...man, I wish I had that kind of talent! :)
Beautiful quilts and lovely colors!
Such vibrant hot colours in that trip around the world. I love it.
"Trip around the World" is beautiful; love the affect.
I love all colors. My favorite color depends on the mood etc. But some of my favorites are red, blue, teal, orange and green. I love bright colors! P.S. I love reading you blog you always have great posts!
That trip around the world quilt is amazing. I love how you've blended the colors from one to another.
