The Zany family has really fallen in love with Fairy Tales. The favorite book at the moment is My Big Book of Fairy Tales by Peter Stevenson. The family's favorite Fairy Tale appears to be "Jack and the Beanstalk". What's not to like? A boy, a giant, a bean stalk, a hen that lays golden eggs, and being able to yell "Fee-fi-fo-fum, I smell the blood of an Englishman! Be he alive or be he dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread!" not once, but THREE times during the story!As far as parallels of the story to my life...Wacky Zacky and Zany Janie disobey me on a daily basis similar to Jack. They find lots of treasures outside to bring into the house, unfortunately their treasures are never worth more than a penny. I have a dog that lays tons of nuggets in the yard, however they aren't beautiful golden eggs. And Wacky Zacky can make the most beautiful music when he wails on his mini ukulele. So yes, I guess the Zany family is living the life of "Jack and the Beanstalk"!

sounds like a great book! My dog lays nuggets too, but they look more like dollar bills! Fairie tales... well, I'm not cinderella - could never find that golden slipper!
