Monsters! Monsters! Everywhere!

It has been quite the scene at the Zany house. There are little monsters, I mean monkeys, I mean kids lurking behind every corner! They come in all shapes, sizes, and ages and you never know what you will find them doing!

During the day this is basically what you will find sweet baby Silly Jilly doing:

Isn't she cute? So peaceful! You must be thinking I can't group her in the "Monster" category. Well, by day she is no monster, but at night she turns into another creature altogether! After her bout of being sick she has decided all cribs and bassinets are for the birds and she'd rather be held all night long. Oh, did I mention if she doesn't get her way there is hell to pay! Papa Z and I have found we can trick her into thinking she is being held by putting her on the Boppy. We would prefer for her to be in her crib, but when it's 2:00 AM and we are sleep deprived we'd do just about anything to get her to sleep.

Over the past two nights I have tried to put her in her crib when she was sound asleep and it lasted just long enough for me to get comfortable and start to doze before I heard a monster yell, "Hey you! I don't think so! Get me out of here NOW!" At least that's what it sounded like the monster said. Then after I get her out of the crib this is what I see for the next 3 hours:

Little eyes that refuse to close because she's no fool!
Then there are the little monsters that come out during the day! Zany Janie and Wacky Zacky are sweet little things as long as they are being entertained. Once they catch a whiff of boredom the little monsters emerge and it is an ugly scene!
I can rack a point up for Mama for encouraging them to play with the pile of socks on the floor today. This resulted in a good hour of entertainment for them-that is after they fought for who got two of Papa Z's socks and who was stuck with just one.

As for Papa Z and me...We feel like we are handling the transition from two to three with ease...At least that's what we've convinced ourselves in our sleep deprived state!

She is BEAUTIFUL!! A trick that worked with jack at night is laying a thick towel folded over his back, he thought it was my arm around him
