Mirror, Mirror on the wall...

My poor little Silly Jilly had a very traumatic event happen yesterday. I walked into the bathroom while carrying her and thought it would be fun for her to see herself in the mirror. As I turned her around so she was facing the mirror, her reaction was not quite what I had anticipated. I figured she would either 1. Work very hard at making absolutely no eye contact with anyone gazing out of the mirror. or 2. Smile and coo at her own reflection causing my heart to melt. Instead Silly Jilly looked at my reflection then at her own reflection and as her eyes began to bulge she stuck out her bottom lip, which is her warning sign that something had better change in 2 seconds flat or there will be hell to pay! She looked back at my reflection and began to calm down only to begin wailing when she caught a glimpse of her own reflection for a second time. I think she was upset because she saw me holding a baby who she assumed was someone other than herself and got jealous. Or she was so taken aback by how beautiful the baby was who looked back at her that it brought her to tears. Either way it was a little humorous!

That was my first thought too - that little Jilly was jealous of you holding such a cute "other" baby. Shame on you :)
