It's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!

For some reason Zany Janie has taken it upon herself to become the sandbox taster. I guess there was a need for it in our family and she decided to step up and fill the position. Papa Z and I must be raising her right because she takes the job very seriously. Without any hesitation she will grab a handful of sand and place it in her mouth.

In order to make sure all of the sand makes it to her mouth so she will suck her fingers clean.

If you are close enough you can hear a lot of "Crunch, munch, crunch, munch" noises coming from her mouth. Then she makes a horrible face and spits all the sand out of her mouth and back into the sandbox. I'm guessing sand tasting must be somewhat like wine tasting where you don't actually ingest any of it, you just put it in your mouth, taste, and spit it out.

After she spits it all out she will pause for 20 seconds, then do the whole song and dance again. Ahhh, it's a dirty job, but someone's gotta do it!
