Maybe we're not as hot as we thought...

There's nothing like a caricature of yourself to boost your self esteem! A little over a year ago the Zany family went to a new homeowners party where there was an artist that did caricatures. I've never had one done and there's a reason for it...They magnify your flaws! The other day I was looking in a box and happened across these cherished drawings.
My precious baby Zany Janie was made to look like a hardened criminal with gigantic ears. She looks as if she had just said, "Oh no you didn't!" as she quickly snapped her fingers in the face of the person in front of her. Wacky Zacky appears to have an Elvis-like mullet and a dazed look on his face. Perhaps Zany Janie "the thug" had just popped him in the face giving him that befuddled expression.

The caricature of Papa Z and me is no better. I appear to have the measles. I guess my freckles are a little more noticeable than I'd like. Despite having naturally curly hair I seem to look like I have a 2-year-old perm with stick straight hair on half my head and curls around the bottom-a great look! My beloved Papa Z looks as handsome as ever except for his giraffe neck! I wasn't aware I was married to a man that had spent half his life elongating his neck with rings.

Despite the Zany family feeling self-conscious about these drawings, they will be kept in a safe place to be brought out when a good laugh is needed.

Zany thought of the day: If someone were to do a caricature of you what features would they magnify?

Oh my goodness, what a laugh.

My wild and curly hair would look awful I am sure if I had this done.

I also have naturally curly hair - one of my better features. But I have a big nose, so I would hate to see my caricature!

Cute pictures.

I would answer, it depends on where they are looking! LOL

LOL! I have never had a caricature done...my younger brother had one done when he was about 8, and he was sooo excited about it. When it was finished, he looked at it and was mortified! He hid it in his dresser drawer and wouldn't let anyone see it. He got really upset any time someone even mentioned it. Poor guy.

BTW-1/2 hour of rain in SoCal IS a big deal! A VERY big deal! LOL

I love caricatures! I had one done awhile back and would love to see how I would be portrayed now.

I think yours came out cute!

Thanks for sharing :)
