Happy Birthday ~ To me!

Earlier in the week I celebrated my 33rd birthday. It's such a monumental birthday because depending who I talk to I've been told I am no longer in my early 30's. To ease the transition we went out and purchased a minivan. Nothing shouts, "Hello, I'm a middle age soccer mom with kids" like a minivan! It surprisingly didn't come with a bag of soccer balls. I guess with the weakening economy it's no longer a standard feature.

On my actual birthday Papa Z took the day off work and we loaded up the family in the minivan and went to Disneyland so I could have "The happiest Birthday on Earth".

It indeed was a very happy day! The lines were short and the weather was nice. We got to see several characters including: Buzz Lightyear, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Chip and Dale.

The kids were perfect angels and even allowed Papa Z and me to take turns going on "big rides". I rode Space Mountain and walked off it feeling like I had just re-experienced my 21st birthday with vision like the picture below:

I'm happy to say even though I thought I would get sick I recovered quickly and the rest of the day was a blast.

We finished the day with the best cake on earth: Cookie don't you want some ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery!

Zany thought of the day: Does everyone go through a midlife crisis? If so have I ruined mine and now am stuck with a minivan instead of a sports car?

Don't you know...30 is the new 20? LOL. Happy belated birthday! I'm jealous you went to Disney! We have nothing remotely close to us that is anything fun like that! I guess we have Indiana Beach...but thats nothing compared to Disney LOL.

I was told once you turn 29 you don't have to get any older...you just turn 29 every year. So last month I celebrated my 3rd 29th birthday! I have to say my husband's age bothers me and ages me more than my own (he has six years on me) so his downhill slope to 40 bothers me more than my 31. Anyway...Happy Birthday, it sounds like you had a lot of fun.

You are so not out of your early 30s - those last until at least 39...at least that's what I hear. : )

Sounds like the Family Z knows how to throw a party - whoo hoo!
