Is that my dog?

Scoozoo, our beloved dog as been part of the Zany family since October 2004. Technically he was our first pet together as a married couple and we were able to see what kind of parents we would be to our children. And yes, we still went through with it and had children even after seeing Scoozoo walk all over us! We adopted Scoozoo through a pet adoption agency and I can honestly say he is the perfect pet for our family. He is so good with the kids and he cleans up any crumbs they drop on the floor!

Periodically we take him to a dog groomer to get a bath and a trim...He does like to look his best! He had gone nearly 6 months without a bath and we were desperate to get him in somewhere. We had tried Petco once in the past and were happy with the results so we thought we'd take him there again-especially since they do grooming on Saturdays. That way I wouldn't have to manage Scoozoo pulling so hard on his leash that he walked on two legs while I tried to hold Wacky Zacky and Zany Janie's hand by myself during the week. So Papa Z waited in the car with the kids while I took Scoozoo inside to drop him off. I was completely shocked by the attitude of one particular groomer. She was mean, nasty, and seemed to feel rage anytime she looked at me. I will spare you the all the gory details, but I can tell you the only reason I left Scoozoo to be groomed that day was because he smelled so bad that my pregnant nostrils couldn't stand having him in the house laying next to me! I will also tell you that the instructions for his grooming were to give him a bath and trim his hair. This particular groomer even asked about shaving him and I said, "No, we just want his hair trimmed". So over SIX hours later Scoozoo was finally ready to be picked up. Papa Z went to get him and had a rude awakening when they tried to bring him a short haired black dog. He was assured that it was indeed Scoozoo. Papa Z had to check his collar/name tag just to be certain it was him, then he was charged double what we normally pay for a grooming appointment!

*****pre-haircut************post haircut*****

Long story short, I was so angry about the situation I did something I never do! I called the Petco store manager and complained about the incident with the rude employee and an overcharged bill for a haircut we blatantly did not want. After speaking with the manager for over 30 minutes he assured me he would look into the situation and call me back in a few days. After not hearing from him I called the store again and spoke to the assistant manager. I was again reassured that the issue was being looked into and I would receive a call the next day. Sadly it's been a month since the incident and I have yet to hear back from the store...Needless to say we will not be returning to Petco.

Zany thought of the day: They say Petco is where the pet's go. Unfortunately, it won't be the place where our zany pets go...

I hate petco my parents go there and I am not a fan. We us rennisance pet spa in banning as long as you get basic cuts its reasonable. I also like that they didn't cage my dog all day and let her out at times.

Whoa! Poor Scoot, Scoot. That's awful - all of the poor little guy's strength has been zapped.

As a side note, the same thing happened to my mom's dog when she took her to Petco for grooming. Nice.

We won't go there either! We LOVE Four Paws Inn in Banning, they do a great job and they are super quick.
