From giddy to berserk in the matter of minutes...

Our house went through a whirl wind of emotions in the blink of an eye. The kids became giddy when we opened the box of make-your-own edible Halloween Skeleton necklaces. They shrieked with delight as they strung their own necklace and sneaked a few bites of candy when they thought I wasn't looking. They were so giddy that they actually happily sat for pictures together without fighting so they could proudly show off their necklaces.

Both Wacky Zacky and Zany Janie vowed to wear their necklaces until Papa Z got home from work so they could show him their jewelry making skills. Then the nibbling began. It started with an innocent lick of their necklace which turned into a decision to eat just a few of the beads. Eventually a mutual decision between Wacky Zacky and Zany Janie was made to eat all the beads but keep the skull and bones. By the end of the feeding frenzy the bones and skull were bitten from the necklace and all that was left was an empty string hanging from their necks. A few minutes later both kids went berserk and were on a sugar high. No longer were there happy smiling faces, but instead growling little monsters. The best part of all of this is that we have 6 more packets of necklaces to make! Maybe Papa Z will want to share in the joy of making the necklaces with the kids!

Zany thought of the day: What's the biggest sugar high you've ever been on?
