The ups and downs of Disneyland

The Zany family visited Disneyland this past weekend. It was our first trip to the park since the birth of Silly Jilly and the whole family was excited for a day filled with fun. Silly Jilly hung out-literally-in a baby pack from Mommy and Daddy's chest.
She rode her first ever rides which included "Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters" and "It's a small world". Based on her facial expressions during the rides she seemed to be amazed and in awe, that or she was on complete sensory overload!

Zany Janie was feeling very adventuresome and decided she was ready for her first roller coaster ride! Papa Z stayed back with the not so adventuresome Wacky Zacky and Silly Jilly-I secretly think Papa Z was just too scared to go on the ride with her.

So off Zany Janie and I went to ride the very BIG and SCARY "Gadget's Go Coaster". The line weaves around and under the roller coaster and every time the coaster rushed past us Zany Janie's eyes would get big.

I was excited to be with Zany Janie on her first roller coaster ride until I started thinking about what that actually meant-I would have to ride a roller coaster! Since having kids the biggest ride I had been on was geared for kids under 35 inches tall and went as fast as a turtle! As I was giving Zany Janie pep talks in line I swear it looked like the steepness of the hill was growing at warp speed! As we neared the gates to get on the ride I felt my legs begin to shake and my whole body broke out in a sweat. Then we were instructed to go to gate 1 which meant we were going to be in the front seat of the coaster! My heart began to race, but I kept a reassuring face for the sake of Zany Janie-I'm guessing if truth be told it was more of a crazed look. Zany Janie and I conquered the ride and I quickly learned that my little girl is an adrenaline junkie.

I'm guessing with each visit to Amusement Parks Zany Janie will become more and more adventuresome and I may have to take a back seat and hang out with Wacky Zacky on the sidelines...If Wacky Zacky becomes adventuresome then I've always got Silly Jilly for a few more years before she's big enough to ride the big rides!

The boys were finally tall enough to ride that when we went on the1 5th. It was fun until that water squirt thing got me directly in the eye!!! man o man that water hurt like crazy! Sadly that ride was not fast enough for the boys
