How do you pick a peck of pumpkins?

So the Zany family made our yearly trip to the Pumpkin Patch and had a great time.  Everyone left happy-Papa Z and I got pictures of the kids in a pumpkin patch, the older kids got to bungee jump and go down huge slides, and Silly Jilly got to be pushed around in a stroller so she could watch all the mayhem unfold around her.  As usual we left without any pumpkins.  What!?!  I know, it seems shocking and bordering on a crime especially when we have three little ones, but to be honest we can't afford to pay $15 and up per pumpkin-and they don't even come carved!

So we have a little secret that I'm willing to share with you, but you can't tell anyone!  We have a secret place where you can get:

Yep, no need to pay $15 for a teeny tiny pumpkin.  You can get good size ones for $2.99.  Can you guess where?

The one and only:

You can also get cute pictures of your kids there too:

So the Zany family scored nine pumpkins of various sizes for under $16!

Thanks Trader Joe's!

Zany thought of the day:  What's one of your secrets to saving money during the holidays?

Whatever works! I hate how much some places charge for pumpkins too...so we shop around before we buy any! I wish we had a good area to just grow our own!

We drive around to look at Christmas lawn ornaments during the holidays and steal the ones we like best. It saves a bundle on decorating.
