Think Pink!

I just finished a custom order for a friend. She, much like myself, didn't really like pink before having a baby girl. I think we both pictured having all boys and were a little shocked when we both found out our second child was going to be a girl! I had Zany Janie a year before her little girl was born and I warned her she would become a closet lover of pink! Lo and behold she asked me to make something for her in PINK!

Zany thought of the day: Who decided that baby girls should wear pink and baby boys should wear blue? How did they determine the colors? When Zany Janie was a baby we would dress her in all pink when we were out shopping, people would still tell me I had a handsome little boy! Go figure...

I adore this retro cat print! I’ve had it in my stash for a few months, but haven’t wanted to cut it up. I know I’m weird; I’d rather sit and look at a folded piece of fabric than to force myself to cut into it and make something out of it! Well, I finally forced myself to unfold it and do something with it. I think the Retro Puss Onesie and Zany Cuddle Blankie turned out really cute. The Zany Cuddle Blankie measures approximately 15 X 15 inches which is the perfect size for nap time and is small enough so it won’t drag on the floor. It is perfect for babies and toddlers when traveling in a stroller or a car seat. The edges are topstitched for a nice finished look and extra durability. The Zany Cuddle Blankie has a loop that is great for curious hands to explore. You can also hook a link to the loop and attach it to the car seat or stroller. No more playing the kicking game where the blankie is kicked off and either lost or the stroller rolls over it resulting in wheel marks! I am proud to announce the opening of my online Etsy shop Two Zany Zebras. It all started after Wacky Zacky was born and my sister planted a suggestion in my head about making things and selling them on Etsy. At the time I was a new mommy and just rolled my eyes thinking “Yeah right! I’m lucky if I can take a shower in a day let alone make things to sell!” As time passed I bounced the idea around in my head but took no action. After the birth of Zany Janie I felt like an old pro at being a mommy and started dabbling in making baby items. The rest is history! Here's a few of the items in my shop:
