Naughty or Nice?

Guess what time it is?  Time to see Santa!  For most kids seeing Santa is much better in theory than in real life.  Our kids believe Santa pinched them when they were babies so they've been a little leery of him over the past few years (See full story here!).

Last year Zany Janie hopped right onto Santa's lap and had a nice chat with him, while Wacky Zacky refused to even take a picture with him without me being between the two.  This year both Wacky Zacky and Zany Janie seemed giddy to see Santa.  That is until the day before when a tragic event happened.  To make a long story short, we use a bead system with the kids.  They can earn and lose beads based on behavior.  If they lose all their beads they lose dessert for a week-I know harsh huh?  Well, the day before Zany Janie was to see Santa she had a streak of naughtiness and lost all her beads.  I'll spare you the details, but will tell you the final bead was lost because she dumped a bottle of water on Wacky Zacky's head while he was asleep in his bed.

So Wacky Zacky warned Zany Janie that Santa Elf (AKA:  The Elf on the Shelf) was going to tell Santa all about how she was naughty.  I'm guessing this had a lot to do with why the very next day our typically outgoing Zany Janie was sheepish to even approach Santa.  She walked up to him with her head down and her hand on her mouth.  I'm guessing she was expecting him to tell her the bad news-She may be getting coal for Christmas!

 

Wacky Zacky on the other hand walked right up to Santa, gave him a high five, and began telling him his list for Christmas.

Poor baby Silly Jilly did not have a nice meeting with Santa.  She took one look at him and began screaming.  I could kick myself for not having my camera on burst mode where I can take several action pictures in a quick succession, because if the kids are right I may have been able to catch Santa pinching her!

I guess we'll never know!
